Immersion: Innate Somatic Intelligenceā¢ Trauma Therapy Approach

Innate Somatic Intelligenceā¢ Trauma Therapy (ISITTAā¢) is a somatic integrative therapeutic modality that addresses how trauma in the body can be safely released and awaken innate healing capacities. Learn about this special in-person immersion from the creator of ISITTA, Manuela Mischke-Reeds.
Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MA, LMFT, is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and Trainer, a licensed Somatic Psychotherapist, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 40823). She trains health professionals in the Hakomi Method in California, Australia and Europe. Manuela specializes in integrating somatic psychotherapy with somatic trauma therapy, attachment psychotherapy, infant mental health, and movement therapy.
Over three days, participants will weave through live demos, immersive movement practices, small group practices, short didactic learning, and experiential somatic learning. The focus for each day will include:
Day 1 (10am-5pm)
- Developmental & Attachment Trauma
- Use of safe, ethical touch with trauma client
- Demos
Day 2 (10am-5pm)
- Pre-perinatal Trauma
- Use of movement and trauma
- Shame and Grief
Day 3 (10am-3pm)
- Ancestral Trauma/Imprints of the past
- Breath and Trauma
This program is open to all ISITTA students and graduates, Trauma to Dharma graduates, Hakomi students and graduates, and any other practitioner with comparable experience.
