Training: Foundations of Somatic Coaching

Based on ICF Core Competencies and ICF Code of Ethics, this training, combined with the Hakomi-Informed Somatic Coaching training, will provide aspiring coaches with fundamental coaching knowledge, skills, and competencies to apply for ICF-Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification through the Portfolio Path. Participants will understand the requirements of the ICF ACC Portfolio path in order to navigate the process with ease. Mentor coaching hours can be added, if desired. Rooted in somatics and mindfulness, lead instructors Ketriellah Goldfeder and Lindsay Leopold will also support participants in working on their identity as a coach and coaching mindset.
This training consists of eight live online modules* on Wednesdays, 12:00pm-3:00pm ET / 9:00am-12:00pm PT:

*Reading and journal entries will be required for each module.
In this program, we will cover these competence areas:
cultivating trust and safety, embodying coaching mindset, establishing and maintaining agreements, maintaining presence, communicating effectively, evoking awareness, active listening, powerful questions, facilitating client’s growth, and demonstrating ethical practice.
In addition to ICF Code of Ethics, expert coach Sari Ajanko will also cover Right Use of Power principles within the role and responsibility of a coach.
This training will not teach the Hakomi method. The focus is on the knowledge and practice of coaching core competencies as defined by ICF.
