ISITTA Training Application Process 

Applications for the 2024 training are now open. The program offers rolling admissions, meaning that applications will be reviewed as they are received until the program is filled. 

Applicants will be asked to submit the following as part of the application process: 

  • Education and licensure, Licensing board(s) and license/registration number where applicable

  • Brief description of experience working with trauma and/or PTSD

  • Interest and inspiration for working with trauma

  • Somatic or Mindfulness practice experience

Who Is This Training For?
ISITTA training is designed for psychotherapists, psychologists, counselors, healers, social workers, coaches and medical professionals who want to include an in-depth somatic approach to trauma healing. It is designed for professionals who value experiential learning and recognize their own change process as essential to becoming a more effective healer.

This unique training requires a commitment to learning outside of your comfort zone and beyond your intellectual knowledge, as well as a willingness to delve into the mysteries of the body’s healing powers.

The Innate Somatic Intelligence™ Trauma Therapy Approach (ISITTA) is based on the belief that the inside-out transformation of the therapist is essential in supporting the client’s journey towards a whole and self-sustaining life. When we learn about/identify/learn to listen to/connect with and train our own somatic wisdom and knowledge, we can guide our clients safely and precisely into the vast resource and creativity that they hold in their bodies.  

Prerequisites: We require an introduction to ISITTA method through an online (3-hour minimum) or in-person workshop prior to taking this training. Exceptions can be made if applicants have trauma training experiences. Please note these on your application for consideration of waving the requirement. 

ISITTA Training consists of six modules that take place roughly one weekend per month from September 2024 through March 2025 via Zoom.  Each monthly training module includes self-paced study via video talks, video demo sessions and reading. All teaching is experiential and includes time for practice and feedback.

For floor practice, you’ll need an undisturbed, quiet place that can be viewed on Zoom. Please bring a yoga mat, pillow and blanket.


Early Registration
: $3,995.00 if enrolled by August 15, 2024.
Regular Tuition: $4,400.00 if enrolled by September 15, 2024 (final registration date).

Within 7 days after you are notified of your acceptance of your application, a $500 non-refundable deposit is due to hold your space in the training. The final tuition balance is due by August 10, 2024 unless a payment plan has been arranged.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by email by the early registration date will receive a full refund minus a $30 administrative fee. 

Should minimum attendance requirements not be met, this event may be canceled, and a full refund will be issued.  

No refunds will be granted for non-attendance or cancellations received after the cancellation deadline (early registration date).  

We understand that unforeseen circumstances such as illness may arise, however please note that due to the nature of our services and the commitments involved, we have a no-refund policy in place for various situations, including but not limited to illness-related conditions, or other extenuating circumstances.

This program is sponsored by Embodywise. Embodywise is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs. Embodywise maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.

This course meets the qualifications for up to 67.5 total hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. CE approval agency: CAMFT. Provider number: 82187. CE hours are subject to change with schedule changes.

You will need to sign our CE sign-in sheet and submit a signed class evaluation form to receive CE credit for this course. 

We will email CE certificates within 30 days after the end of each monthly session. 

If you live outside of California, please check with your local licensing board to ensure that they’ll accept this course for CE credit.
