Description

Join Rob Fisher for this Special Free Hakomi Event with Special Guest, Manuela Mischke-Reeds, MFT.

Manuela will share "The tender heart of trauma." Trauma experiences are all around us and impact our lives at different stages. The collective trauma awareness that we have been facing has left many of us with exhaustion, confusion and weariness. But trauma experiences are also a gateway to the wise heart of compassion.  We will explore the impact of trauma on our hearts and the resilience we can find amidst of challenges. In this session we will discover our heart through movement and sound into the awake complexity of loving presence.

An Idea for a Difficult Time

This event is designed to create a place for us to inspire each other towards greater lovingness, kindness and compassion. We live in a difficult time. People and the planet are suffering in myriad ways, and I would like for us to co-create an oasis, a community of the heart. You know the magical feeling of being in a Hakomi training where you experience that there’s finally room for you to be more of who you really are, to blossom a little bit, and to extend your generosity to others?

Let’s cultivate that and bring it to a larger community. Let’s do it together! Let’s see if it catches fire!

Structure
We will do some internal and relational processes that will help nourish and explore our hearts.

We can include times to share what inspires us to live more deeply from our organic selves: poetry, music, art, dance, stories of connecting with a clerk in Whole Foods, successes in repairing a rupture with your partner or the heartbreak of failing to do so, a poem that you read or wrote that touched something deep inside.

We can inspire each other.  Maybe you can lead a movement piece or share a quote.

Let’s create a place where we can support each other in gentle ways that inspire the best in each other.

We can have times to sit in sacred silence together, to use mindfulness to explore the barriers to our own heartfulness, times for ritual, times to have our pain held by a tribe of the heart.

Together, we have a tremendous amount of talent, leadership and heart, that I believe we can use to create something wonderful for ourselves and others.
