SUMMARY:Course: Healing Intergenerational Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Free Informational Webinar: Tuesday\, March 17\, 2024 at 9:00 am PT / 12:00 pm ET.  Somatic self-discovery and practice for nervous system resilience\, ancestral integration\, and belonging The struggles we carry often reach back farther than our own lifetime. Patterns of fear\, disconnection\, and survival can live in our bodies as the echoes of past generations. This self-discovery course\, guided by Manuela Mischke-Reeds\, provides a compassionate space to explore how intergenerational trauma manifests in your nervous system — and how you can begin to reshape it through embodied practice. This training consists of six live online modules on consecutive Wednesdays\, 10:00am-12:00pm PT: May 20 & 27 June 3\, 10\, 17\, & 24 Together\, we’ll co-create a safe space of deep inquiry and personal healing. You’ll learn gentle somatic tools to cultivate nervous system resilience\, receive guided inquiries to recognize inherited patterns\, and create space for new ways of being. We’ll explore how to meet shame and fear with compassion\, honor the wisdom of your lineage\, release ancestral patterns that no longer serve you\, and cultivate a deeper sense of safety and belonging. This is both a personal journey into how inherited patterns live in your body and a collective journey into community healing. Through guided practices and dyadic connection\, you’ll experience the power of shared presence and embodied belonging — discovering what can end with you\, and what can begin with you. Register Register by March 15th to save $50. Course Trainer Manuela Mischke-Reeds\, MA\, LMFT\, is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and Trainer\, a licensed Somatic Psychotherapist\, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 40823). She trains health professionals in the Hakomi Method in California\, Australia and Europe. Manuela specializes in integrating somatic psychotherapy with somatic trauma therapy\, attachment psychotherapy\, infant mental health\, and movement therapy. Course Description Healing Intergenerational Trauma is a six-session journey into the heart of your body’s memory and resilience. The struggles you face today may be the lingering echoes of unresolved trauma — both your own and your ancestors’ — showing up in your nervous system and shaping how you live\, love\, and belong. In this course\, you’ll experience the power of somatic self-discovery to identify and release inherited trauma patterns\, nurture nervous system resilience\, and restore a sense of safety and connection. Each module weaves together short didactic presentations\, guided somatic practices\, reflective inquiries\, and dyadic explorations. Together\, we’ll co-create a safe space of deep inquiry and healing\, where you’ll learn to meet fear\, shame\, and inherited beliefs with compassion\, and begin to transform them into resilience\, dignity\, and presence. This is not about erasing your past–it’s about integrating it. You’ll honor the gifts of your lineage while creating new neural pathways that support healing\, wholeness\, and legacy. This journey is both personal and collective: as you discover how ancestral patterns reside in your body\, you’ll also engage in community healing\, reclaiming a sense of belonging through shared presence and embodied connection. By the end of this 6-session program\, you will: Cultivate nervous system resilience through somatic tools that reduce stress and restore safety.Release inherited trauma patterns held in posture\, breath\, and emotional responses.Develop a compassionate relationship with your body as a guide for healing and transformation.Transform limiting beliefs and inherited narratives into embodied empowerment and dignity.Anchor new neural pathways that foster resilience\, self-agency\, and post-traumatic growth.Integrate healing into daily life while honoring your chosen legacy for future generations.Questions? SUMMARY:Community Event: Tribe of the Heart with Rob Fisher
DESCRIPTION:Tribe of the Heart is An Idea for a Difficult Time\nThis event is designed to create a place for us to inspire each other towards greater lovingness\, kindness and compassion. We live in a difficult time. People and the planet are suffering in myriad ways\, and I would like for us to co-create an oasis\, a community of the heart. You know the magical feeling of being in a Hakomi training where you experience that there’s finally room for you to be more of who you really are\, to blossom a little bit\, and to extend your generosity to others? \nLet’s cultivate that and bring it to a larger community. Let’s do it together! Let’s see if it catches fire! \n\n\n \nStructure\nWe will do some internal and relational processes that will help nourish and explore our hearts. We can include times to share what inspires us to live more deeply from our organic selves: poetry\, music\, art\, dance\, stories of connecting with a clerk in Whole Foods\, successes in repairing a rupture with your partner or the heartbreak of failing to do so\, a poem that you read or wrote that touched something deep inside. \nWe can inspire each other. Maybe you can lead a movement piece or share a quote. Let’s create a place where we can support each other in gentle ways that inspire the best in each other. We can have times to sit in sacred silence together\, to use mindfulness to explore the barriers to our own heartfulness\, times for ritual\, times to have our pain held by a tribe of the heart. \nTogether\, we have a tremendous amount of talent\, leadership and heart\, that I believe we can use to create something wonderful for ourselves and others. \nWhat You Will Learn \n\nExplore what stops you from being more loving\nFeel less alone\nBring more kindness to the world\nAccess your heart more deeply\n\nWho Is This For\nThis event is open and relevant to Hakomi graduates and the general public.

SUMMARY:Hakomi Intro Workshop: A Mindful Path to Indigenous and Global Majority Healing
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nIn these turbulent times\, the systems of oppression are literally pressing down on our clients in increasingly harmful ways.  As clinicians\, we have a powerful opportunity—and responsibility—to be a part of our collective healing. By showing up with cultural awareness\, presence\, and authenticity\, we create the conditions for real transformation. \nCome together to explore these questions and more! \n\nHow do we\, as Indigenous people\, members of the Global Majority\, or committed Allies\, meet suffering with compassion and skill?\nHow do we support the authentic unfolding of our BIPOC\, Queer\, and other oppressed populations/clients\, in order to increase their felt sense of belonging? \nHow do we\, as either Indigenous\, Global Majority or Allies\, support all who are suffering?\n\nThrough the lens of 3 particularly relevant principles of Hakomi\, we will “study” our own experiences\, translate this into practical skills to support others unfolding\, coupled with an opportunity to witness a “live” demonstration of the Hakomi Method! \nJoin us for this experiential introduction to Hakomi. You’ll learn about the foundations of our 7-month training and walk away with tools you can begin using right away to foster connection\, safety\, and depth in your clinical work. \nThis course consists of two online learning segments: \n\n1.5 hours of self-paced learning (brief video talk\, Hakomi\, demo session\, articles and handouts) that you’ll complete at your own pace in the two-and-a-half weeks prior to our live Zoom class\n6.5 hours (w/ two 15-minute breaks) of online instructor-led classroom training via-Zoom\, with plenty of opportunities of experiential learning\, including breakout groups where you can practice new skills in a gentle and safe environment and receive immediate guidance and feedback from your instructor.\n\nWhat you will learn: \n\nDescribe the core principles of the Hakomi Method: including mindfulness\, organicity\, non-violence\, unity and body-mind holism.\nBe able to recognize the link between mindfulness\, organicity\, and non-violence specifically as pathways to increased safety and authenticity within the therapeutic alliance.\nDescribe 2 pathways for increasing trust across social location.\n\nREGISTER HERE \n\nQuestions? View our FAQs. \nThis workshop is open and relevant to both clinicians and the general public. It also serves as an important foundation and pre-requisite for the Hakomi Professional Skills Training starting in September. Hakomi regions outside of California may require a 2-day introductory workshop (or two 1-day workshops) to satisfy the prerequisite for their Comprehensive Training.

SUMMARY:Free Webinar: See What Your Clients Are Showing You - A Live Hakomi Demonstration for Therapists with Rob Fisher\, MFT
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever sensed that something important was happening with a client—a shift in their voice\, a fleeting expression\, a sudden stillness—but weren’t quite sure what to do with it? \nSome of the most important moments in therapy happen beneath the words. \nIn this free 80-minute session\, you’ll watch a live demonstration of Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy and see how subtle\, present-moment signals can become doorways to deeper therapeutic work. \nAfter the demonstration\, we’ll slow things down and explore what happened: What did the therapist notice? Why follow one moment rather than another? How can a simple observation become an experiential intervention? \nYou’ll get a taste of practical Hakomi skills—including tracking\, contact\, mindfulness\, somatic awareness\, and Loving Presence—and see how they can help clients move from talking about themselves to discovering themselves in the moment. \nWhether you practice IFS\, attachment-based\, psychodynamic\, trauma-focused\, somatic\, or other approaches\, Hakomi can add another dimension to the work you already do. Come see what becomes possible when we listen not only to what our clients say\, but to everything they are showing us. \n \nFree • 80 minutes • Live demonstration\, commentary & discussion\n \nREGISTER HERE\nUnable to attend live? All registrants will receive access to the replay. \n  \nRob Fisher\, MA\, LMFT\nCertified Hakomi Therapist and Trainer \nRob is a Certified Hakomi Therapist and Trainer\, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 22886) and a consultant and certified supervisor in private practice.

SUMMARY:Embodied Flow: Continuum Practice in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
DESCRIPTION:Embodied Flow is a two-day experiential workshop exploring the integration of Continuum\, a fluid somatic movement practice\, with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Continuum is a movement approach that uses subtle breath\, sound\, mindful attention\, and micro movement to cultivate deeper body awareness\, support nervous system regulation and shift perceptions. Rather than focusing on prescribed exercises\, Continuum invites participants into a direct experience of the body’s innate intelligence\, fluidity\, and capacity for transformation. When combined with ketamine-assisted therapy\, Continuum offers a powerful practice for staying connected to the body during expanded states of consciousness. While ketamine can soften habitual patterns and open access to new insights\, Continuum provides an embodied pathway for sensing\, integrating\, and making meaning of these experiences through the body.
